Anyone in the world

Every time you open up task manager you get the following message:

"{0}" no longer exists. To see the current tasks, click Refresh.

Solution 1

If you disabled the Disk Defrag Schedule, then go back and enable it.

Solution 2

Go into your registry and delete the following key

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Schedule\TaskCache

Please make sure you backup the key before deleting.

** In my case, this solution works. This problem  occurs when I change the Hostname of the Machine. (Windows 7 Professional 64 bit)

Solution 3

Start process explorer(procexp.exe).Find CPU maximum task. Click properties. Threads. Kill CPU maximum threads.
